The Hand of Midas (HOM) is a corporation that focuses on the acquisition of wealth and glory. Inspired by tales of a giant golden statue of the legendary king floating somewhere in the depths of space, the possession of which is said to grant eternal riches, we have scoured the four corners of EVE to find new and imaginative ways of making ISK.
HOM is a friendly and mature corporation, and over our years of operation, we have made billions for the benefit of our members. We always welcome new pilots who wish to participate in our grand profit-making schemes, and all profits are either reinvested in our industrial activities or distributed to our members. So where does all this ISK come from, you ask?
\u2605 Mining
The universe contains many asteroids. All of them are evil and must be eradicated by mining. Many of our members are miners, and the thing they all have in common is a fanatical hatred of space rocks. We revel in the opportunity to destroy asteroids, and in the past we have rid entire constellations of them with a mining fleet that blots out the stars \u2014 the fabled "Midan Horde". The fact that it gives a tidy profit, and the raw materials for our industrialists, is just a bonus.

The true heart of the Hand of Midas is its industry \u2014 it is the engine that powers the whole corporation. The furnaces of our refineries burn night and day, while our production lines churn out ship after ship and module after module. Some products we keep, others we sell for lots of ISK. ISK is good, have we mentioned that?
\u2605 Logistics
Piles of ore and stacks of ships do not move themselves. Our logistics division organises and coordinates the complex web of industry in HOM to make sure that the production lines stay full and that the profit keeps flowing. Bored logistics pilots have been known to hold legendary freighter races, the sight of which baffles observers throughout civilized space.
\u2605 Research
To build, you must first have blueprints, so HOM has its own R&D facilities to ensure that our industrial activities are as efficient and productive as possible. Researchers can also make blueprint copies to sell for a profit, since more profit is always nice. Some may also dabble in the dark arts of Invention. We call those ones witches.
\u2605 Other activities
The ongoing pursuit of wealth and fortune is a neverending business, and even the purest of Midans needs a break now and then. To that end, our pilots regularly shoot things for fun, whether in missions, incursions, or lost inside wormholes.
Where can I find you?
Hand of Midas goes where the ISK is, and in the past, our quest for riches has led us to nullsec, w-space, lowsec, and everywhere in between. Along the way, we have seen things you people wouldn\'t believe: supercarriers on fire in Tribute, pulse lasers glittering in the darkness of Catch, colossal mega rocks being pulled apart by the Midan Horde in Providence... But our ancestral home is in Metropolis, and that\'s where our home fires burn. Our Current Nullsec Home is The Spire.
Who can join?
Anyone who has resided in Pre-HOM for atleast 30 days actively, and have 20,000,000 skill points. As well as a Pre-HOM Director recommendation. These requirements are to keep both the members of HOM and the corp itself safe from awoxing and corp theft. All of our corporate PvP and PvE ops are joint ops with Pre-HOM, so you will quickly get a taste of what we do. Successful pilots will be offered a place in HOM in due course.'
